Home Security Reminder !

Hello All, 

As we approach the end of summer and the evenings begin to draw in, we would like to remind residents to take a few simple precautions to help keep their homes and property secure.

Please consider the following:

🔒 Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked, particularly when leaving your property, even for a short period.

💡 Consider using security lighting or timer switches to give the impression that your property is occupied when you are away.

📹 Where possible, consider installing CCTV or a video doorbell, which can act as a deterrent and may assist with the identification of offenders should an incident occur.

🚪 Ensure gates, garages, sheds and other outbuildings are securely locked and, where appropriate, consider additional security measures.

💎 Avoid leaving valuable items on display through windows or in areas that are easily accessible.

As the hours of darkness increase, now is a good opportunity to review your home security and ensure that appropriate measures are in place. Taking a few simple precautions can significantly reduce the opportunity for your property to become a target.
